About
Who are we?
We are sisters, born two years apart. From an early age on we have been drawing together, building lego installations, baking and decorating cakes. Once we were both studying in Utrecht, we rediscovered our love of being creative together. This expanded into the making of visual art (together).
Our abstract photography and graphic illustrations arose from the amazement for large black and white contrasts, optical illusions and the forthcoming plays with lines. An appliance of structures and organic forms from the natural environment.

Who is Manouk?
Hi, I am Manouk. Ever since high school I have been frequently drawing and sketching. During my packed and hectic bachelor, I missed the relaxation and pleasure that I could derive from being creative. In 2019, I completed a 'brede basisopleiding' (broad basic degree) at the Hoge School voor Kunsten in Utrecht with the aim of getting back to creating my own art. My work primarily consists of drawings, both on paper and digitally. In these, I focus on finding the balance between (hyper) realism, perfection and the looser sketching and doodling. If you look at a work you might think: ''Is this a photo or is this a drawing?'' Oh, and I also started experimenting with watercolour, because why not?

Who is Lieke?
Hey! My name is Lieke. I completed the bachelor Fine Art & Design in Education at HKU in 2020. I graduated as a small centipede who is an all-rounder and finds joy in many things. I did a thesis on getting a burnout at an art school, and the influence of stress on the ability to be creative. With this, I hope to contribute to student welfare at academies. Within visual art, I am amazed by liquid processes and optical illusions that I capture (preferably with a camera). I like working with my hands; fiddling, tinkering and messing around. With the Happy Bonbon Factory I make bonbons for anyone who wants to pamper someone else or themselves and I give bonbon workshops. So, I also get pleasure from transferring techniques to everyone who is openminded. I really enjoy working with children in a creative and sporty way at the CursusBSO in Utrecht. You can find creativity in all areas and as long as you are curious, you can learn from it. I want to continue to connecting, in my creatorship and my teachership
What can we do for you?
In addition to the sale of the works that can be found on the website, we also provide custom work. Are you looking for: a personalised drawing or portrait to brighten up your wall or to give to your friends or family?; an abstract photography work of your taste and suitable for your interior?; a design based on your preferences drawn on your guitar?; or maybe a (minimalist) design for a tattoo?
If so, please contact us via instagram, mail or the contact form on the contact page.
Are you curious about professional craftsmanship and do you want to learn more? Lieke gives custom-made workshops. I have experience with all ages, from young children to adults and the elderly. Consider, for example, a drawing and painting workshop during a children's party, learning the basic techniques of photography in a few hours, a bachelor party where you make delicious chocolates, an edible work of art made of chocolate or an afternoon of model painting/ drawing. I also give painting workshops about well-known artists involving a piece of art history in a fun and interactive way. For example, Andy Warhol (Pop Art), Bob Ross, Jackson Pollock (Action Painting) or an artist on request.
